The solar Eclipse is a New Moon in Pisces this month, with Sun and Moon at 18 PI 55 and the South Lunar Node at 21 Pi 47. Eclipses are always a new or full moon, and conjunct the North or South Lunar Nodes. Think of it as a supercharged new moon.

The Libra New Moon is ruled by planet VENUS, goddess of love, art and socially significant unions. Where you have Libra in your chart is where you want to develop aesthetics, harmony, refinement, relationship, affection, attraction, cooperation and live out those authentic core values. Sound elegant and gracious?

It is, except for the Uranus – tip the apple cart – opposition. There is a willful, rebellious, audacious component to this lunar event. It might express in some uncharacteristic ways such as acting out repressed feelings at the most inopportune times. It’s a moon that wants to share. You, and others, might be wildly surprised by what’s on your mind.

The hitch her is that Libra wants to please the company but while she’s saying yes and and obliging, Uranus in opposition is plotting a take over – French revolution style.

New Moons are perfect for setting intentions, pre-paving desires and focusing our energy on what we want, but often we’re too busy to get in touch with how we really feel. As the dark moon deepens this week, we can look back over 2014, asking what came to be. What could use some tweaking? Is there any dead wood that wants pruning?

Aligning with the current Astro can help you find the answers now, before the New Moon, and turn that knowledge into powerful transformations.

. . . the October 24, 2014 solar eclipse in Scorpio is a powerful time to set your focused, edgy, cut-to-the-chase intentions.

This eclipse is within 10 degrees of the November 3, 2013 eclipse, meaning what you were desiring then may be coming into fruition, taking new shape or being scrubbed for an even better plan. Get a bigger perspective. With Venus conjunct as well at 0 Scorpio, there is added attraction, and allure. The desires will not be set aside . . .

If you remember back to October 24, 1995, the Thursday/Friday eclipse is EXACTLY on that degree. One way to leverage this would be to take the knowledge you gained from the experiences of that time and apply it to your life now. Think how much wiser you are.
