The second New Moon after the solstice 2016 marks Chinese New Year of the Fire Monkey and oh boy, what a chang-a-roony.

This is the year of the Cheeky Monkey. A blockbuster shift, moving from two years of Wood element (Green Horse and Green Sheep) to Red Fire Monkey.

Contemplative becomes assertive.

Reflective become proactive.

Stuck becomes rockets launching, fire works and who cares about the slippery slope!

Think of it a bit like moving back to Aries after two years of Taurus, back to Leo after Virgo, back to Sagittarius after Capricorn. From Earth to Fire means we’ve tilled the soil, planted the seed and now make room because HEY-O they are going to grow!

It’s Retrograde Venus time, everyone! Are your ready? Venus turns stationary @0 Virgo on July 25th, then spends the next two-and-a-half months moving ‘backwards’ through the sign of Leo. Below are horoscope tips to help you leverage this energy to the max. Enjoy!

ARIES: Venus through your house of creative self expression is fabulous for artistic pursuits and child-like play. Pre-pave your true desires here. This is also a charming time for romance but with the retrograde, it’s likely things will flare from ex-current-ex, lukewarm to sizzling again. Wait until October to make a decisions. Children have an influence

TAURUS: This cycle is all about the home. Are you Queen/King of your castle? If not, why no? Take this time to get the home life correct. That means family as well as the physical dwelling. You might have a major re-evaluation of life style and location. Consider long; make major move after Oct 9 if possible. Parents will be of influence.

GEMINI: If you have a career in writing, teaching, studying or any form of the written/spoken word, this is your time to gain major accolades. Put your works in front of eyes that matter. Proposals could take yonks to hear back on but the results are potentially spectacular. Involve yourself with community. If ever a time to connect with siblings or cousins, it is now.
