Michela Gallichio was at Byron Bay’s Main Beach when she spotted – well, she couldn’t really miss them – these beautiful shell-like spirals carefully drawn in the sand. The aspiring communications student had to stop and photograph them. “They were so beautiful, and giving everybody so much pleasure,” she says. “I thought they were a wonderful idea.”
