For the next few days, the moon is ‘dark’, the time to rest, relax and recover from the demands of the last few weeks, months, or maybe even years. Even if you have a full work schedule, you can entertain thoughts of peace and ease, finding ways to lighten your mind, fuel your enthusiasm and appreciate life.
You can also invoke ‘slacker manifesting’ at this time.

I use this approach with everything (albeit not perfectly, mind you! Sometimes I forget and start over-efforting).

It’s the recipe for instant manifestation. I have learned not to put one ounce of mental or physical effort into anything until I have done nothing, ignored it, and listened for ideas. Yes, this is the exact opposite of everything we learned in school.
We want to prep on the dark phase, because this is not just any old new moon!
It’s a Solar Eclipse, where the moon stands between the Sun and Earth, cutting off the light of the Sun. This solar eclipse pulls in the Lunar Nodes (a necessary ingredient for any eclipse) bringing new possibilities our way, as if by chance.
All you have to do is have eyes open and a readiness to receive.
It’s in Pisces, after all!

Welcome to the season of the Eclipses. Until the new moon, rest, relax, repose. Nothing has to be decided yet, especially with the eclipse nigh. Then, expect new beginnings and adventure! All the planets are operating against the backdrop of Mercury retrograde until the 22nd. Two steps forward, one back? Maybe, but you don’t want to stress about it.
The best strategy, and you do want a strategy, is to plan, brainstorm and negotiate, ready to launch and action your new inspirations late September or October. Meanwhile, it’s the perfect time to bring more ritual into the daily routine, amping up both ‘heart’ and ‘practicality’. Appreciate what is working and feel compassion and reverence for all life, beginning with your own.
Virgo is about skill development, and the rituals in life that are constantly creating and re-creating our experience of reality. Think – ritual magic, new beginnings, initiation and awareness. You start creating habits that make life better, for you.

ARIES/6th house:The New Moon Eclipse in your house of health is the perfect time to start supportive new habits in the realm of diet, exercise and daily ritual. CANCER/ 3rd house: This is the perfect time to create new habits around self-talk, verbal communication and written or spoken expression, teaching and leaning. VIRGO/first house: This is your ‘birthday’ New Moon and ideal for starting any new project that has your ‘heart’s desire’ in it. Most likely opportunities are rolling in. You get to pick your favorite and lavish it with positive energy. The trick is to not become totally obsessed. Start a habit of balance in everything you do.
LIBRA/ 12th house: The New Moon Eclipse in Virgo is your ‘Dream Moon’ as it activates your unconscious mind. Up comes all the buried treasures in the form of inspiration, epiphanies, synchronicities and head over heels love interests. Treat this like a preview of coming attractions. Nurture, respect, revel and enjoy!
SCORPIO/ 11th house: The New Moon Eclipse in the house of friends is a wonderful opportunity to bring healthy habits of connection into being. Your powers of discernment are heightened, helping you know intuitively which birds of a feather you want to flock with. Remember, to have a friend, be a friend. Spend some time there!
SAGITTARIUS/ 10th house: Attention to detail and a feeling of new beginnings lights up your career sector. This is where you put new habits into place. If you’ve been overworking, pull back. You want to expand, but do you feel worthy? You want to connect, but do you trust other people? You want to shine in your chosen calling, but do you really have it right? This month is a puzzle only you can solve. And you will!
It’s perfectly natural, with this Grand Cross in the sky, to feel a little underwhelmed, a little meh. Don’t fight it. Sun/Moon square Jupiter, square Saturn, square Neptune, square Sun/Moon….aka the Mutable Grand Cross, will guide you into old, stagnant places that are ready to be released. Then, BLING! You’re on your way! Treat yourself to loads of kindness and self-care, and focus on something you know will light you up. Plenty of time later in the month to get the mojo working again.

TAURUS/Moon in the 2nd house: Money, security and finances are on your mind, even more than usual this month. If you are equating personal freedom with dollars in the bank, try not to make that quite so literal. Freedom is a state of mind, not a fat bank statement. Ask any millionaire. Your core values are mutable right now. Tune in to where preferences have changed.
GEMINI/Moon in the 1st house: The restless urge to change inwardly may appear to be solved by changing outward circumstances like relationships, home, daily routine, career. But no… The outside situation is only a reflection of your inner state of being. For a new shop window, redress the display, not the foot traffic. There’s a lot of energy to fuel your next big desire. Set the intention now.
CANCER/Moon in the 12th house: This is a bridge building time where communications with your higher guidance, that BIG you inside the YOU you, is potentially golden. There is one of two choices: Focus on how wrong things are going, or focus on how right things are going. The first choice leads to gloomsvile. The second to Yahoo-it’s-happening-ville. You decide.
LEO/Moon in the 11th house: Your social life is under the spotlight. Perhaps the initial feeling is, ‘This sucks …’ but don’t worry. Attention on what you want with friends, collaborations, joint projects and socially significant leadership all points you in the direction you want to go. Creativity begins this month in isolation then expands out to involve others in powerful ways. Don’t hold back.
VIRGO/Moon in the 10th house: Social identity, mission, profession gets a thorough makeover as the career takes a turn for the better (in the long run). SCORPIO/Moon in the 8th house: Revelations and ah-ha moments arise when it comes to shared resources, hidden truths and co-creations. You are making big changes in this area of life, starting with how well you can let go of the past. Meaning REALLY let go. CAPRICORN/Moon in the 6th house: There are two major areas activate by this New Moon: your health and your daily routine/job. The solar Eclipse is a New Moon in Pisces this month, with Sun and Moon at 18 PI 55 and the South Lunar Node at 21 Pi 47. Eclipses are always a new or full moon, and conjunct the North or South Lunar Nodes. Think of it as a supercharged new moon.

This is the year of the Cheeky Monkey. A blockbuster shift, moving from two years of Wood element (Green Horse and Green Sheep) to Red Fire Monkey.

Stuck becomes rockets launching, fire works and who cares about the slippery slope!
